RESEARCH
The aim of the ROBERTA project is to comprehensively analyse the deployment of automated buses in four pilot regions. It evaluates how they prove themselves in real-world operation and what impact they have on public transport.
The evaluation follows a uniform approach and considers various topic areas, including technical requirements, operational processes, safety aspects as well as social and economic impacts. It is based on both qualitative and quantitative data. In addition, the European Common Evaluation Methodology for CCAM is taken into account in order to ensure that the results are comparable at European and international level.
Based on the insights gained, practical recommendations will be derived. Among other things, these concern the optimisation of operations, communication with passengers and the services offered, as well as the further development and scaling of automated mobility solutions in public transport.
