INFRASTRUCTURE
Current management systems in public transport mainly capture data such as location, speed or energy consumption and make this information available to control centres in real time. Many other tasks – such as on-board supervision and passenger information – are still handled by the bus crew today. In the future, this can be covered by a remote management system. In the medium term in particular, there will still be a need for solutions for mixed, hybrid vehicle fleets consisting of vehicles with different levels of automation. This is what we will implement in ROBERTA.
In the ROBERTA project, this is realised with a central fleet and remote management system into which all buses are integrated. In addition, the local operators also receive this information in their own control centres.
